In the last few days, I’ve had several opportunities– not very pleasant ones–to listen to stories of heart break and illness and recent, life-changing trauma, even near death experiences. These stories were not stories on the radio, mind you, but from new and old friends, and family.
To whit: My mom and I had a coffee break together, and she held forth, to a rapt audience of 2 bakers on coffee break, about her tales of escaping bombs and terror as a pre-teen in World War II Germany.
Another new friend was involved in a horrific serial killer’s rampage a couple of year ago…and lived to tell the tale, with the consequential guilt and wondering: Why him, and not the others?
Another new friend is diagnosed with metastatic cancer.
And I admit to a visceral response to a card table set up in front of our local small town Post Office, 2 men lurking like vultures, large posters of President Obama with a Hitler mustache on his lip. The men were targeting people going into the Post Office and ranting un-intelligible diatribes…the scene made me sick to my stomach.
These examples all beg the question: This is a friendly Universe? Oh really?
And the answer to that is Yes. This IS a friendly universe–and here’s why:
A friendly Universe is accepting of ALL, no-one and nothing is excluded in a friendly universe. The Force of Love, which is at the heart of a conscious and friendly Universe, has as its main purpose, the ability and the charge to LOVE ALL, including some of our more dire creations.

Why express yourselves in painful and limited ways? That is a grand question, and unfortunate to your human mind, we are going to answer it thusly: Love accepts all. It even accepts the mind, the ego, the personality, the duality, the polarity, and every disparity you can imagine. It accepts all.
So why have you made a muck of it? Well, let’s answer via the theory that you are cloistered from the influence of the rest of the Universe. Therefore the inhabitants of earth are allowed to play out your determination to wander far from the Lap of the Great Creator, otherwise known to you as God. So the muck of which you speak is the muck of attachment to acting alone and being lost—both allowed by Love. Although, please notice the burgeoning number of people who are exhausted with being alone and lost and are no longer being served by such an attachment. It is here you will see the greatest turning humanity has ever seen. This will be the turning of your attention to Love as a benevolent force.
If people were to see how loving and gracious this allowance from Creator is, then you would also express a graciousness and allowance of other life-forms, of other ways of being, of other views of Creator, of other ways of worshiping whatever entities you wish to worship, whether it’s money or a god or nature or what have you. Having compassion for all these differing expressions is the way to grow more conscious and aware of Love’s benevolence.

Interestingly, I have an e-buddy whose parents were both, in Concentration Camps. They survived and returned home to Greece…where they met and married.
Two years later, my e-buddy was born!
Her mother is still alive, living near her in California. Her mother wears sleeves to cover her “number tattoo” and never speaks of the past.
This is I guess, in reference to your MOM having been a pre-teen in WW II Germany. I used to think it did not seem real. Yep, it was real…and it’s over. We’re leaving the MUCK.
